Professional Storyteller Tom Lee will perform at Bloomfield Congregational Church on Sunday, November 9th at 3:00 p.m.
The program will feature the traditional Norwegian folktale “The Bear King,” one of the great stories in the world fairytale tradition. With dreamlike imagery, compelling characters, and a thrilling narrative arc, the story sweeps listers into a place where fantasy frames reality.
Tom is a Bloomfield resident, and his November performances at Bloomfield Congregational Church have become an annual tradition for adult audiences.
The program will last approximately an hour. Admission is by goodwill offering, and proceeds will benefit The Connecticut Storytelling Center’s “Tellabration” fundraising project, supporting traditional storytelling in Connecticut Schools.
Tom Lee teaches at the University of Hartford, is a frequent guest artist at The Yale Center for British Art, a roster artist with Arts for Learning Connecticut, and a community arts partner with Hartford Public Schools.
Tom can be heard on his podcast “The Odyssey Odyssey” (www.theodysseyodyssey.com).
